Welcome to the new-look Raining Sideways!

gull-2.jpg

And hello, hello to all my dear, loyal Raining Sideways readers, all the thousands of you over the years, from all over the world; a huge thank you to you all for your terrific comments and support. It’s wonderful to know that so many people enjoy reading about food, friends and farming in a beautiful corner of Devon.

I hope you’ll find the new website more accessible and easier to explore whether you’re searching the archive, looking up favourite recipes or simply enjoying the photographs.

Soon I’ll have a video link too, so you can walk with me through the valley and watch the seasons change.

Have a click around and let me know what you think.

I must take this opportunity too, to add a huge thank you to Tom in Tokyo and Paul in Devon, both of whom have been working tirelessly to make all this happen! None of it would have been possible if it wasn’t for them.

So thank you to you both for all your ongoing support, encouragement, and technical skill without which I would never have embarked on this amazing four year journey. What a team! Thank you both so much.

    Dear Sally,
I don’t remember how I first happened upon your website but I’m so glad I did! I have spent most of my life in the USA, coming here when I was a teenager. The older I get the more I have a yen to return to England. I grew up in Hampshire an so visited Devon fairly often.
I haven’t looked at everything yet on your site but it is so lovely to know it is there to see when I want to visit the England I remember.
    Thank you so much.
    Shelagh Duncan
